SPRAY PAINTING

The future of design and manufacturing

Do You Have A Project We Can Help With?

spray paint service

Once your CNC routed project is off the cutting table and has been drilled along with the required edge banding applied you may want to finish it with a colour coat or a protective layer.

Because we have our own spraying facilities, we can take care of this for you much faster than having it outsourced.

We specialise in spray painting a wide range of different finishes to make your project look fabulous.  With the right products and processes we make the mundane look flawless.  Whether you want a simple matte or satin finish in one of this year’s on trend colours or if you want to take it to the next level with a polish to make it shine you are in the right place. We can even coat it in real metal, apply a metal effect or even add some glitter to it to make it sparkle.

The first step in finishing is picking a colour.  The world is your oyster when it comes to colour.  We can accurately match colours in one of two ways.

If you have seen a colour you like from a commercially available paint range we can take the code and match from that if it’s in our paint library or in the rare instance you have picked a colour we don’t have a recipe for we can simply match it from their colour samples or books using our colour matching machine.

If you have an object that you would like to match a colour to we may be able to match from this using our colour match machine.  The sample needs to be flat rather than textured, clean, uniform and bigger than a £1 coin.

Some projects don’t need any colour but will benefit from a clear coat to either add a layer of protection or to provide a matching or contrasting sheen level to the project’s final environment. Depending on the project we can advise which product would be most effective for your goals.

Once you have chosen your colour or your clearcoat you need to decide on what finish you would like the colour made up in.  In layman’s terms paints are made up in Matt, Satin or Gloss.  What these refer to is how much light reflects off the surface.  A matte will reflect very little light and will have a dull appearance whereas high polished gloss is at the other end of the spectrum and reflects most of the light. We refer to the sheen level in percentages.

Our standard finishes are: Matte 10% & Satin 25%

Our premium finishes are: Very Matte 5%, Velvet Feel 2% & Gloss 85%

Our premium plus finishes include: High Polished Gloss, Liquid Metal, Chrome Effect & Clear Polished polyester

Polyurethane & Water Based Finishes

Our core range of paints are mixed in Polyurethane as a standard but can also be made up in water if the project requires it.

Both of these paint ranges come in a choice of finishes as described above and with the correct preparation can be sprayed on Solid wood, Plywood, MDF, MFC, Melamine, Glass, Metal & Plastics.

The key to great spray painting finishes starts with the preparation. We use a range of fillers combined with a lot of sanding both by hand and with a range of machines at our disposal, taking particular care with the edges and corners before applying the appropriate primer for the top coat and the substrate.  Once cured this primer coat is then sanded again to remove any minor imperfections that may be left. With the right processes and attention to detail this creates the perfect surface for our talented sprayers to apply your chosen finish.

If part of your project is made of real wood and you would like a completely flat across the whole project finish we will apply a specialist primer that hides the grain and provides a consistent look across the entire project.

Delivery

In order to maintain the quality of our work and to ensure that your pieces are treated correctly from start to finish we operate our own collection and delivery service.

Our experienced drivers operate Monday through Friday and aim to collect or deliver your project within 2 days of your enquiry but normally the following day.

For medium to large projects we provide this service for free within the M25 and South Hertfordshire.  There is a small charge for smaller projects decided on a case by case basis.

In order to ensure we are able to accommodate large projects, we use a long wheel base Luton van, which can transport items up to 5m long and 2m high. If you have a smaller item, we are able to send a smaller van to you instead.
